April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and I wanted to do something to help vulnerable children in our community. That's why I became a CASA Champion and created a fundraiser to support the Marinette County CASA Program!

CASA volunteers advocate exclusively for the best interests of children under court protection in monthly reports to the judge. These reports help the judge make important decisions about each child’s future. A CASA volunteer is very often the only consistent adult presence in the life of a child who has experienced the trauma of abuse and neglect.
A child with a CASA volunteer is more likely to get help with other services, spend less time in foster care, find a safe, permanent home, and do better in school. Last year alone, 33 CASA volunteers advocated for 55 children in Marinette County, making their lives safer and their futures brighter!
