CASA of Brown County is an organization the Allouez Optimist Club has and will continue to support as their mission resonates with the Club's own goals, "Bringing Out the Best in Youth, in our Communities, and Ourselves".

This is Jake and Jackie Jirschele's fourth opportunity to fundraise on CASA's (Court Appointed Special Advocates) behalf to help children who desperately need care and attention in Brown County. The outpouring of support from our family, friends, and colleagues through the years has been so much appreciated that we are continuing our effort to provide for this organization and to educate others on what a positive and pertinent roll CASA volunteers have for children within the court system. Our youth need strong, loving, skilled support and guidance and that is exactly what CASA achieves.

Joining Jake and Jackie this year are Jeff and Bridget Erwin. The mission of the Allouez Optimist Club is centered on supporting local youth, and Jeff has been an active member of the Allouez Optimist Club serving as a Board Member and President. Bridget has been an attorney for twelve years and has a keen understanding of the need for those without a voice to be represented in the court system. "Supporting CASA together is an easy choice for us as it gives us an opportunity to draw upon our shared passions to benefit those in need in our community.".

Also included in the 2020 campaign are Nicholas and Carrie Linz. Nick and Carrie strongly believe in the mission of CASA and the good it can do for children in our community. As a former child welfare worker, Carrie saw firsthand the effect that a parent’s ongoing involvement in the court system can have on a child. "Throughout both of our careers we have become highly aware of how important it is to have a strong advocate giving a voice to a child as the legal process plays out. We are excited for the opportunity to lend our support to such a worthy cause.".

Having skilled volunteers is vital to ensuring the best possible outcome for these children as the volunteers are often the only consistent adult presence in the life of an abused or neglected child. CASA volunteers visit with the child on a weekly basis and submit reports to the judge in regards to the child's safety and well-being which in turn helps the court system make very important decisions about their future. The Future. These children ARE our future.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 prior to CASA of Brown County's annual fundraising event held on April 24th in the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay. CASA is a National 501c3 Non-Profit Organization, so to all of our friends and family (near and far), colleagues, and community, we ask that you consider making a donation on behalf of our platform today. Let's catapult them in the right direction. Without generous donors, organizations like CASA of Brown County struggle to exist. A truly heartfelt thank-you to all.

-The Jirscheles, Erwins, and Linzs
