Every year, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Brown County hosts CASA Presents: Champions for Children during National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The annual event raises critical funds that sustain our work to recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children under court protection in Brown County, many of whom are in foster care.

CASA Presents: Champions for Children will be virtual again this year and feature a public silent auction and raffle you don’t want to miss! The auction will be live for bidding on Thursday, April 29, at 7 PM CT and will close on Sunday, May 2, at 8:00 PM CT.

Event sponsors and their guests are invited to attend an exclusive virtual gathering with Emcee Bill Jartz of WBAY-TV on Thursday, April 29, at 7 PM CT.* Guests who attend the virtual gathering will be entered to win an exciting prize (must be present to win). View the event sponsorship brochure for more information about sponsorship benefits.

We hope you can join us! Thank you for being a champion for children.

*Auction link and details about the virtual gathering will be provided to guests closer to the event.

CASA of Brown County is a volunteer based nonprofit organization that provides a voice for abused and neglected children who are under the legal protection of the court system.

CASA volunteers build special relationships with children under court protection and advocate exclusively on their behalf in monthly reports to the judge. These reports help the judge make important decisions about the child’s future.

For many of the children we serve, a CASA volunteer is the only consistent adult presence in their lives. In 2020, 133 volunteers advocated for 232 children in our community, making their lives safer and their futures brighter.

A child with a CASA volunteer is more likely to get help with other services, spend less time in foster care, find a safe, permanent home, and do better in school.

Because of compassionate people like you who care deeply about children, we will reach even more children desperately in need of an advocate!
